Description
Employee Relations (ER) Consultant
3-month rolling contract
We are looking for a ER Consultant to join our client who are an economic regulator who promote competition and innovation within financial markets.
The ER team sits within the wider HR Policy & Delivery team and is responsible for providing end-to-end ER support across the business on topics such as investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and more.
What will you be doing:
- Facilitating complex ER cases
- Working closely with HR Business Partners, line managers and other internal teams where applicable to resolve employee-related matters
- Contributing towards the quality assurance of data in our case management system
- Contributing towards the development of ER polices and practices to ensure compliance with UK employment legislation

Who we’re looking for:
We are a signatory to the Government’s Disability Confident scheme. This means that we will offer an interview to disabled candidates entering under the scheme, should they meet the minimum criteria for a role. A minimum criterion needs to be measurable from reviewing a candidate’s CV. For example, ‘Experience of employment law’ is measurable from looking at someone’s CV but ‘Knowledge of HR practices’ is not.
- Prior experience in handling Employee Relations casework including investigations, disciplinary hearings, appeals etc.
- Ability to identify and quantify risks and advise stakeholders accordingly
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
